I got an unexpected message from an old mate asking me to finish this sentence:
I believe in a greater future because…
I just woke up then and so I asked him to give me a few minutes. Knowing him, that might be a beauty pageant question. My answer should be short, clear, elegant and appropriate for a beauty queen. Here’s what I said and glad he liked it:
I believe in a greater future because it’s the harvest time of yesterday and today’s hard work and learning.
Later that day, I saw The Croods movie. It has a much better answer for it.
Once a upon a time, there was a beautiful tiger. She lived in a cave with the rest of her family. Her father and mother told her “you may go anywhere you want, but never go near the cliff; for you could fall.” But when no one was looking, she’d go near the cliff. For the closer she came to the edge, the more she could hear; the more she could see; the more she could feel. Finally, she stood at the very edge. She saw a light. She leaned out to touch it… and she slipped. And she flew. (To/Into) Tomorrow; a place with more suns in the sky than you can count; a place not like today or yesterday… a place where things are better. Oh, yes, yes it is. I’ve seen it. That’s where I’m going.

I don’t intend to write a movie review. But in general, I believe adults need to watch more cartoons. Aside from animated movies being highly entertaining, there’s always a lesson to learn and you might even see yourself as the character — desirable or not desirable, think about it and yourself.
And so if you want to see how tomorrow looks like, this is how it was portrayed in the movie:
How do you see tomorrow?
good one 🙂 I see tomorrow as an opportunity to fulfil the tasks dat i cudnt do today!

Tomorrow! The concept raises so many questions. I’m glad I can’t see into the real future. Enough that I write novels about what might happen. Today is enough of a challenge for me.

You can only really live in and enjoy the present, but I think you can prepare for the future while enjoying the present – and then be amazed at how it works out.
